Split Screen Chrome Extension: The Ultimate Tool for Efficient Multitasking

I have been using the original Tab Resize for a while and honestly it is a total life saver when I need to do side by side comparisons. manually resizing windows is no fun and this extension make it super easy to split my screen into different layouts like 2x2 or 1x2. the best part is it work with multiple monitors and you can even use shortcut keys like ctrl shift 4 to resize fast. i really like that you can highlight specific tabs to move them instead of just everything to the right. I did see some people say it is a giant mess because it open separate windows but i think that is actually better since it dont have security limits like other apps. it is true that closing them all one by one can be a bit of a pain and it feel a bit buggy sometimes if you have too many tabs open. but for real the author is super honest about the permissions and everything is open source on github which make me feel safe. definitely recommend it if you have a big monitor and need to stay organized!

Time waste and data waste it try to add 4 different windows not 4 tabs under the single window with 4 URLs.

Not gonna lie, this is a must have for any students. I can do work and do something else like watching a video at the same time without needing to tab switch and have your browser lag out. Even better, you can open more windows, each displaying something different, and have them open in your format. This made everything easier!

Was looking for the neat Split Screen feature that Edge has natively. This is no comparison, because you cannot resize 2 windows at once, just by dragging in the center. So the two windows implementation certainly has its drawbacks.

Brilliant extension and the multi screen updates work great on my setup (laptop 14" + 2 x 28" monitors). Used it reliably for years and never had any issues. Great idea well executed, kudos to the Dev.

At least the author explained what this was in a popup before you use it. But, even still, it is misleading; all this does is create a giant mess of open windows that have to be manipulated one at a time, each its own. If you have four tabs open and you want to split in four, you cannot do it. You get 4 tabs in your one, existing window and three new windows with blank tabs. If you go to split two of the new tabs, you get two new tabs and the others are buried. Then, you have to close them All One At A Time. There is also no way to toggle them at once. A GIANT MESS is what you get. Useless.
